 Day 4

The Margaret River wine region extends 120 km, from Cape Leeuwin to Cape Naturaliste, and with a day free to explore at your leisure there are numerous places of interest you may wish to visit. There are several wineries in the area, including the Leeuwin Estate, home to the famous annual Leeuwin Concerts, or perhaps the smaller Cape Mentelle Estate, both of which are certainly worthwhile options. The area is also riddled with limestone caves and there are a number of guided tour options available. You may wish to take a drive through the Bonarup Karri Forest, whilst a visit to the coastal resort of Prevally Park, a popular surfing spot at the mouth of the Margaret River, is also recommended. If you wish to travel further afield, you might like to drive down to the south coast to Augusta, or visit the windswept beauty of Cape Leeuwin on the southernmost point of the peninsula, a point midway between the Equator and Antarctica.
